LoRaWAN leak monitoring in warehouses
Centralised LoRaWAN infrastructure in ITS Server connects gateways and sensors across multiple locations. The system detects leaks in warehouse areas, measures temperature and humidity and, most importantly, sends notifications when an event is detected. The kits were configured in advance and installed by the client’s local technical teams.
The number of sensors and gateways was not known in advance
The client needed a flexible rollout process. The number of leak sensors and gateways required at each location was not known in advance, and commissioning took place in stages.
Variable device counts
The number of sensors and gateways needed at each location was initially unknown.
A phased rollout
The deployment covered successive locations and was spread over time.
Local technical teams
The client's technicians installed the devices on site, following their own schedules.
Measurements from the start
Each new location needed to start collecting measurements as soon as the devices were installed.
Centralised LoRaWAN infrastructure in ITS Server
LoRaWAN gateways and sensors are registered in ITS Server, which acts as the central LoRaWAN Network Server, stores data and triggers notifications.
Sensors communicate with gateways by radio (dashed lines), and the gateways send data to ITS Server. There, the Data Monitoring module detects a leak event, and automation triggers a notification. Temperature and humidity measurements are stored as periodic data with history and displayed in the dashboard module.

ITS Server
A central instance with a LoRaWAN Network Server, a gateway and sensor registry, threshold monitoring and notifications.
LoRaWAN leak sensors
160 sensors configured in advance and delivered to the client, ready for installation in warehouses.
LoRaWAN gateways
33 gateways configured in advance, registered in ITS Server and commissioned by local technical teams.
These figures describe this deployment. Further locations, gateways and sensors can be added without changing the architecture.
Configured in advance, installed at the client's pace
160 leak sensors and 33 gateways were configured in advance and delivered to the client. Local technicians handled subsequent commissioning, allowing the client to work to its own schedule and new locations to start collecting measurements once the devices were installed.

Leaks, temperature and humidity in one system
Local teams commission further locations without having to configure the system, and receive a notification when a leak is detected.

ITS is a starting point, not an endpoint
Data collected by ITS Server does not have to stay in a single system. The platform can pass it on to the tools already used in your facility or business.

The set above is an example — ITS can also integrate with other third-party systems, tailored to the client's IT environment.
