Technical description
ITS Edge Cabinet Basic is a pre-assembled enclosure holding a complete set of power, networking and data-processing components, mounted on DIN rails and in slotted cable ducts. The enclosure has no serial ports — all communication runs over Ethernet interfaces.
At the core of the set sits ITS Edge Box, an industrial computer with a complete instance of the ITS platform installed. Data is therefore collected, processed and served locally, with no dependency on outside infrastructure.
How it works
The cabinet connects to a 230 VAC supply and to an Ethernet network. Data sources — PLCs, meters, drives and pumping systems — communicate over MQTT, Modbus TCP, OPC UA or other industrial Ethernet protocols. ITS Edge Box collects and processes the data locally and serves it through the ITS platform GUI on site. Optionally the data can be replicated to another ITS instance, a VM or the cloud, to consolidate several locations.
