Continuous temperature and humidity monitoring at two production and warehouse facilities
A fully offline deployment: 160 EM320-TH sensors and approximately 30 UG65-868M LoRaWAN gateways integrated with ITS VM replace manual readings and paper records with continuous, automated monitoring.

Deployment for Sante
This Case Study presents a continuous temperature and humidity monitoring system delivered by IoT Solution for Sante. It focuses on the technical scope and on how the solution is used across two production and warehouse facilities.
Measurements dependent on manual work
The previous sensors displayed readings only on their local screens, without transmitting any data. Every reading required an employee to be physically present at the device.
Manual rounds and paper records
- An employee visited every sensor and recorded the readings manually.
- Data was recorded only once per shift, leaving no information between readings.
- Readings were entered into documents manually, creating a risk of errors.
- Employee time was consumed by a low-value repetitive task.
Continuous monitoring in ITS
- Measurements are automatic and continuous, without manual involvement.
- Data reaches ITS in near real time.
- The scope and frequency of measurements have increased.
- Lower operating costs and fewer errors caused by manual work.
Monitoring architecture — fully offline
The sensor network communicates with LoRaWAN gateways that forward data to ITS VM installed locally at the facility. The entire infrastructure operates without an internet connection or an external cloud.
The EM320-TH sensors transmit temperature and humidity measurements over LoRaWAN to a UG65-868M gateway, which forwards the data to a local ITS VM instance installed at the facility. All communication remains on the local network, so the installation works without an internet connection or external cloud.
Temperature and humidity sensor
Wireless LoRaWAN communication and point installation in production and warehouse areas.
LoRaWAN gateway
Collects transmissions from sensors within range and forwards them as a packet forwarder.
ITS platform — local instance
The LNS, IDC module and dashboard run locally on a virtual machine at the facility, without the cloud.

The impact of a new approach
Replacing manual rounds with continuous, automated monitoring improved data quality and work organisation at both facilities.

ITS is a starting point, not an endpoint
Data collected by ITS is not locked inside one system. The platform forwards it to the tools already used at the facility or across the organisation.
The systems shown above are examples. ITS also integrates with other third-party platforms selected for the client’s specific IT environment.
